Kerio Connect 8.5 Improves Collaboration, the Mobile Experience and Security
New release of award winning email solution brings end-user productivity improvements, better performance and upgraded security.
San Jose, Calif, May 19, 2015 – Today Kerio Technologies released Kerio Connect 8.5, strengthening its leadership in messaging and collaboration with end-user productivity improvements, better mobile performance and upgraded security.“In this release we’ve continued to add email client productivity aids for the end user, along with support for the latest security encryption standards,” said Heather Paunet, Director of Products. “With capabilities like creating contacts directly from an email and travel time for meetings - allowing users to block off additional free/busy time based on their travel schedule to an event – we’re continuing to make email smarter”.
Users on Windows 7 or above can create messages, events, contacts, tasks or notes directly from the Windows taskbar.
With support for the latest Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) protocol, Kerio has simplified IT deployment and maintenance by eliminating the need for an Outlook plug-in, delivering faster search performance and folder access. The updated protocol also allows mobile devices to synchronize notes, obtain free/busy calendar information, and update reply/forward flags.
Security libraries and default encryption levels within Kerio Connect have been upgraded to support latest encryption standards, mitigating the risk of exploits and vulnerabilities and reassuring customers that user data and account information is protected.
With deployment options for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and VMware, Kerio Connect 8.5 is ready to run in virtually any on-premise or private cloud customer environment. On-premise Kerio Connect starts at $465 for five users, Cloud-hosted Kerio Connect is available from Kerio partners worldwide. For more information, please visit: www.kerio.com/connect.
