Meet our summer interns!

Meet our summer interns!

We had the chance to bring on two great interns this summer who worked across all lines of business at Kerio. Their collegiate backgrounds span the country, from New York to California, and we are excited to watch them grow in the career paths following this experience.

Ari Fine

What did you work on: I worked closely with the business development team to identify, build and manage long-term relationships with strategic startup accelerators and incubators in the Bay Area to initiate the adoption of Samepage.

What did you learn: Through my interactions with outside businesses, I was able to get a grasp on the future of Silicon Valley and its technology scene. I also found that I enjoy the thrill of the chase; learning about a company inside and out, and figuring out how my product can help them achieve their goals. There is absolutely nothing more exhilarating than walking into a building and seeing young entrepreneurs you having never met using your product to build their business.

What are your future plans: I always knew business was in my blood and my experience with Kerio has fortified that belief. From here, I plan to take this learning experience back to New York, where I will finish my degree. Once I graduate, I plan to return to the Silicon Valley to pursue a career in technology, with an emphasis on business development.

Ari will be starting his Junior year at Columbia this fall, where he is studying International Relations and business administration. Prior to Columbia, Ari was a volunteer in the Israeli Army for three years.

John Flanigan

What did you work on: As a marketing intern, I worked on a wide range of projects, including site mapping, web content, Google AdWords, analytical planning, campaign management and market research.

What did you learn: The opportunity to work in a well established company with a start-up mentality gave me the chance to use my creativity to develop and edit online marketing campaigns, test their feasibility in the market and make recommendations on how we can better serve our users as well as attract more users.

What are your future plans: I am returning to Santa Clara University, but plan to stay on part-time at Kerio to continue my work with the marketing team. Post graduation, I hope to work in the sports industry as a digital marketing specialist, something I learned that I excel in thanks to my work with the Kerio team.

This fall, John will be beginning his Junior year at Santa Clara University, where he is studying marketing.
