New Kerio Operator IP PBX 2.2 links to Salesforce.com to simplify customer contact management

Today we're launching a new version of Kerio Operator, an IP PBX business class VoIP phone system, that makes it easy for IT administrators to add phone services to existing data networks. Kerio Operator 2.2 features Salesforce.com integration, automatic backup and remote storage for recorded calls, and improved phone provisioning and management.

We designed Kerio Operator for IT personnel with little prior phone or VoIP experience who want to bundle IP telephony with their IT management services. We also spend serious engineering time to make sure that our customers get a robust phone system that works with all leading brands of IP phones including Cisco, Polycom and Snom.

The most notable improvement in Kerio Operator 2.2 is integration with Salesforce.com. The Kerio Operator App for Salesforce allows agents to place calls directly from SFDC with click-to-dial functionality, to quickly access contact records with caller ID, and easily log incoming and outgoing calls. Administrators can complete the integration with the popular customer relationship management (CRM) system in minutes, increasing the efficiency of phone-based personnel and improving the customer experience. The Kerio Operator App for Salesforce is supported by Enterprise and Unlimited Editions of Salesforce.

We also integrated Kerio Operator PBX with Samepage.io which newly serves as a cloud backup platform for the phone system's configuration files, system logs, call history, voice mail, and recorded call data. In case of a hardware appliance failure, administrators can rebuild Kerio Operator within minutes using a software image of the PBX and backup files.

Grandstream GXP series, Yealink/Well T series, Cisco SPA series, Polycom VVX series, and Snom PA1 are some of the new phones that Kerio Operator can configure remotely using its extended phone provisioning system. Users also can take advantage of many new IP phones and get instant access to company directories from right from the touch screen of their desk phones.

And why so much focus on auto provisioning? Walter Huff of Huff Technologies, one of our partners who regularly deploys Kerio Operator for his customers in Florida, summed it up for me: "Auto-configuration made my job 1000x easier."
