Team Productivity Re-imagined
You need to understand that Samepage.io is not a single user productivity tool like Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel. Samepage is the place to create, hatch and nurture content, ideas, concepts and projects with people on your team or outside your team. That's how our users see Samepage, and that's how we use it at Kerio. Samepage is a primary content editor for our teams.
Others in the marketplace try to bridge the single productivity tool and online file sharing gap. We didn't want to start with a wrong parameter in that equation. We believe that a web browser is a perfectly fine tool for creating content, especially text-heavy content. It's been done with user-generated content in social media, and it has made its way into the business world.
Google Docs still tries to shoehorn you into a file container. In our view, that's a dated concept. Files are prone to replication and file naming malaise. But more importantly, they force you into the limitations of a given file format. It is a real pain to collaborate with someone else on a newsletter design in Microsoft Word with pictures, charts, calendars and tables. We've all been there when you make one simple change and the formatting goes to hell. There is very little reason today to use a Microsoft Word-like product in the modern workplace.
Samepage merges a multi-user content editor with content sharing and conversations. We don't see much of a difference between an intranet/extranet web page and a Photoshop file, to us it's just data that need to be shared or accessed by somebody. Samepage is designed to be a team productivity platform. While others in the enterprise content collaboration space have mostly file sharing underpinnings, Samepage revolves around content - and that can be tables, tasks lists, images, texts or a file library.
Samepage really shines when it's used with large groups of users. So put up your project on Samepage, invite others, and see how it works for you.
