Kerio Connect and Outlook 2011 for Mac

For many Kerio Connect customers, Microsoft Entourage is the email and groupware client of choice. We made the decision years ago to support Microsoft Entourage operating in the Exchange mode, which provides calendar and contact synchronization on top of the usual email, and it has been a hit.

Microsoft earlier this year announced a new version of Office for Mac with an update of its default groupware client - both in functionality and name. Outlook 2011 will replace Entourage 2008 in the new Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 suite, planned for a late October launch.

Kerio Connect 7.1 is now available – SO WHAT’S NEW?

A pretty major improvement on mobile connectivity options - Kerio Connector for BlackBerry is installed on the same server as BES. This provides over-the-air syncing of mail, contacts, calendars, and tasks between Kerio Connect and the native clients on Blackberry devices.

Sophos which is a new, high-performance anti-virus and anti-malware scan engine, is the offered A/V in Connect 7.1.

Microsoft Outlook 2010 is now also supported.

Kerio Control, the ESXi-est firewall on the planet

One of the unique things about Kerio Control is that since it is a software firewall, it can be deployed in a virtual environment, which is something I can't do with appliance based firewalls. But the coolest part is now that it is available in OVF format, it is now easier than ever to import into my existing Vmware environment. It isn't necessary to download anything, just copy the URL and paste it into the vSphere client.
